Privacy and terms

What we store

• Comments and reports: the name, comment, report and contact details you type in yourself. The name on a comment is public.
• Spam protection: a one-way hash of your IP address. The IP address itself is not saved.
• Likes and theme: a random ID and your light or dark preference stay in your browser. They are not tied to your name.

Photos and videos

Story photos load straight into your browser from the news organisations' servers or the image service wsrv.nl, so those services can see your IP address. YouTube or Instagram videos load only when you tap them. After that, those services' own policies apply.

About the news

Summaries on this site are generated automatically and can contain mistakes. Do not treat them as professional, legal or medical advice. News content and photos belong to their original publishers, and each story links to them. If you own the rights to any material and want it removed, tell us with the Report button or the contact form.

Comment rules

Abuse, hate speech, other people's private information and spam are not allowed. Such comments may be removed.
